Quick Start¶
Welcome to Galaxea R1 Pro. This guide walks you through how to power on and operate the product, and helps you begin your interactive journey with Galaxea R1 Pro.
Power On & Power Off¶

Hard Switch¶
A black rocker power button is located at the bottom of the rear end of the R1 Pro chassis. Press this button to power on or off.
Soft Switch¶
A silver round power button is located at the rear of the R1 Pro waist:
- Power on: Press the button and release it. The blue indicator light turns on, indicating that the R1 Pro is powered on.
- Power off: Press and hold the button for at least 3 seconds, then release it. The blue indicator light turns off, indicating that the R1 Pro is powered off.
Emergency Stop Switch¶
The emergency stop button is located at the top of the rear end of the chassis. In an emergency or hazardous situation, press it immediately. The R1 Pro will stop all operations, but this does not cut off the power.
Note: Make sure the emergency stop button is released when powering on.
Charging & Battery Replacement¶
The power connector is located at the bottom-left of the rear end of the chassis. To charge, plug in the power cable. When the red indicator light on the charger turns on and the battery indicator light on the chassis flashes green, the R1 Pro is charging.

The battery is located at the bottom-right of the chassis. To replace the battery, first use an M8 wrench to remove the 2 screws on the chassis side cover and take off the cover. Then insert the battery into the chassis and connect the power harness. Finally, close the cover.
